MotoGP, Iannone and Rins unveil a new fairing at Phillip Island

It’s Phillip Island New Things Day. This morning it was Aprilia who unveiled a new disguise, with Aleix Espargarò doing a few laps before returning to the garage. With just twenty minutes to go, Andrea Iannone did the same.

The Vasto driver was on the road with the Suzuki fairing, which was also available to his teammate Alex Rins. As you can see on the photo posted on Twitter by our colleague Steve English and our picture opposite, the technical solution from Hamamatsu is very similar to that of its Yamaha colleagues.

The Suzuki also has a kind of “double fairing” with integrated winglets. In contrast to the M1, however, these are positioned higher on the GSX-RR, directly under the front fairing.
