Important points for the reigning MotoGP eSports champion

Adriaan_26 left the second round of the 2021 MotoGP eSports championship with a good number of points for the Repsol Honda Team powered by OMEN and made the most of a tightly contested series of races.

Fresh after the two MotoGP races at the Red Bull Ring, the MotoGP eSports Championship went back with two races, one at the Sachsenring and one at the Red Bull Ring. After two strong runs in the opening round, Adriaan_26 went into the second round as a joint World Cup leader.

Race one of the second race took place at the Sachsenring, the Repsol Honda Team driver started in the third row with the focus on getting safely through the first corner. When it rained, Adrian was pushed back after a collision with another motorcycle and worked on improving the ground again during the 10-lap sprint. It was clear throughout the race that the Repsol Honda Team rider was the fastest rider on the track. Adriaan_26 crossed the finish line in fifth, collected more valuable points and kept all of his main rivals within reach before heading to Austria.

For race two Adriaan_26 was prepared to attack with a start from the front row. But disaster struck in the opening action and the Repsol Honda Team rider was forced to fall behind and give up positions after going too far. As in the last race, the # 26 kept its head down to compensate for the disadvantage and pushed forward to take another fifth place.

The two fifth places keep Adrian in second place in the championship and the Repsol Honda Team rider is determined to push just as hard on the next lap. Round three will take place on September 17th at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
