Joan Mir opens MotoGP Sunday action with the fastest time in the warm up

Good omens from Joan Mir at the last GP of the year, who finished the warm-up session in the lead and recorded constant best times.

While the sun peeks out over Valencia, the drivers hit the tarmac for the last warm-up of the year.

Iker Lecuona was one of the first to take the lead in the session, with Andrea Dovizioso following him before Mir took the lead and improved his record more than once.

The Suzuki Spaniard finished the session in the lead with a lap of 1: 31.082 seconds ahead of Takaaki Nakagami, 0.148 seconds, who set his best time late in the game, while Alex Rins finished third, 0.238 seconds behind his teammate.

It was followed by Francesco Bagnaia’s Ducati in fourth and Johann Zarco in fifth.
