Marc Márquez is still the highest paid rider in MotoGP

Every year the topic is on the agenda – who are the highest paid in the MotoGP squad? Unsurprisingly, despite the absence of the first two laps, Marc Márquez is the biggest host in the premier class of motorcycling.

According to the motosan.es website, the Repsol Honda Spaniard earns ten million euros a year. Runner-up on this list in 2021, Valentino Rossi, had around eight million euros to spend in his last farewell season, when he represented Petronas Yamaha SRT.

Maverick Viñales, who started on Monster Energy Yamaha and landed on Aprilia, won about 6.7 million euros, and reigning champion Joan Mir (Team Suzuki Ecstar) earned around five million euros.
