Moto2, Jorge Navarro injured, ankle broken during tests in Jerez

In the last few days on the Jerez de la Frontera circuit, the mid-range drivers covered their first kilometers of the 2022 season in private tests, however Jorge Navarro’s first laps on his new Kalex in Team Pons Racing did not end as he had imagined.

Unfortunately, after 46 laps, the driver from Spain was involved in an accident in which he broke his left ankle and ended his days of testing. He will obviously not be on the track today and will see further visits to Barcelona for a full diagnosis. From now on they expect a recovery time of at least three months, i.e. in February at the earliest.

“It wasn’t the start that I wanted,” wrote Jorge on his Instagram profile. But I’ll be back even stronger than before in February. Now I have to think of rest and relaxation. Tomorrow I will be examined in Barcelona with the Doctor Mir team to understand how to fix my problem fabricated ankle. “
