Two-time Australian Superbike Champion (ASBK) Mike Jones is returning to Yamaha where he will compete under the colors of the Yamaha Racing Team next year.
The rider, who won the last ASBK championship in 2019, is returning to Yamaha, the brand with which he started his career. At the age of 27, the Queensland driver is already preparing for the pre-season tests with the team.
With a couple of races in MotoGP, the athlete who competed in the European Superstock 1000 Championship has twice won the ASBK championship on a Ducati, with which he has spent most of his career. He is now trying to attack the title again, but on a Yamaha machine, with the championship scheduled to start in February.
