Jorge Lorenzo retired from motorcycle and MotoGP racing towards the end of the 2019 season and has been practically inactive on the track since then – he was a Yamaha test rider in 2020 but had very few chances with the COVID-19 pandemic to do this ride.
The Spaniard’s followers on social media picked up on his passion for cars and motosan.es asked him if it was possible to drive in motorsport – as Valentino Rossi will now. Lorenzo confirmed that it is so and replied:
