‘I’m worried, I don’t see any weaknesses in the Ducati’ – Joan Mir

Joan Mir had a rough year. Constantly chasing losses and trying to minimize the gap to the strongest Ducati riders, the former champion doesn’t hide his fears for the coming seasons, even claiming that he cannot find weaknesses in the Italian bike.

‘Last year I was able to see that when they started with all that power, it was massive. But then at the end of the race, they were struggling to turn the bike a bit more than us and also on acceleration when the tire was getting more used, it’s logical that when you have more power you use the tire more. [This time], I didn’t see any loss of performance in the last laps, for me it was the opposite. They are even stronger on the end of the race. So it’s not easy to understand’, the spaniard told quoted in Crash.net, not hiding any concerns about the performance of the Ducati riders:

– I don’t see any weak points, and this is something that I’m worried about. And they are able to be fast with a lot of different styles. So we have work to do if we want to fight again next year, because for sure they will be really strong. But when I talk about the bikes, I talk about the package, the bikes and riders, not only the bikes. Because the riders are also top riders.
