‘Pedro Acosta is not yet ready for MotoGP’ – Jorge Martin

Spanish rider Jorge Martin is convinced that Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo) isn’t yet ready for MotoGP, considering that two years of development in Moto2 are the ideal to be ready for the premier motorcycle class.

Pedro Acosta, it is already known, is considered a great talent in motorcycling, with great potential, after becoming one of the youngest riders ever to win the World Championship in the Moto3 category. Now, in his first season in Moto2, eyes are on the Spanish rookie and on a potential MotoGP opportunity should a spot at KTM arise.

‘I think two years of Moto2 would be ideal as he is still very young. He is not yet ready for MotoGP. After two years it will be ready for sure. He is in the best team to learn and to be prepared for the future’, said Martin quoted by Motorsport.com.

Martin Rode for two years in Moto2, with Ajo’s team, where he managed to triumph on two occasions. After leaving KTM, he moved to Ducati, where he found success.

After the first less successful race in Qatar, Acosta promises that the team will try to improve in Indonesia, stressing that in Moto2 it is a big disadvantage to start further back.
