MotoGP, Taramasso: “some Rossi’s tire problems are caused by his riding style”

Valentino Rossi is still unable to manage to deal with the problems with the rear tire that have been afflicting him for a few years now. The Doctor complains about a drop in grip, which limits acceleration and logically also his final times. Not even the new tire brought by Michelin has improved the situation.

Piero Taramasso, the race manager for the French tire manufacturer, spoke to Sky about the issue.

“It is no secret that Valentino has this problem, it is long-standing – he explained – Rossi has a particular riding style, he leans less from the bike than the other riders, for this reason he stresses the tire more on the outermost part and therefore the tire temperature rises. I am sure, however, that he will be able to solve this issue”.
