‘We’re going to try to make another step in Barcelona’ – Franco Morbidelli

Franco Morbidelli is still unable to fight for the top positions in MotoGP with the Monster Energy Yamaha team. Although he feels he is making progress on the YZR-M1 the rider is aware that there is still a long way to go to get where he wants to be, and he faces the Catalunya GP in Barcelona with the task of making further progress.

The Italian-Brazilian said in a statement that he had an improved feeling at the previous round, although the final result did not follow, assuming that he is still far from where he wants to be and that is where the focus at Catalunya will lie – continuing the trajectory of improvement:

– We made a step in Mugello. The feeling in general improved, but the result was not what we wanted. We’re getting closer, but we’re still too far from the top. This weekend we’re going to try to make another step again. We’ll keep working on understanding what does and doesn’t work for us and also compare our findings from Mugello with the data we’ll collect in Barcelona. For sure, we will be pushing again here this weekend.
