‘To be fast on the M1 we have to be very aggressive and that’s not my style’ – Franco Morbidelli

Few riders on the MotoGP grid will be in such a negative moment as Franco Morbidelli. The 2020 MotoGP runner-up has never been able to make a mark since his promotion to the factory Yamaha team and is now looking forward to the championship’s summer break.

The Italian crashed at Assen and had to withdraw from the race. In the end he explained to the press where the great difficulty is at the moment to be competitive:

– I lost the front at turn five and crashed. It’s a shame but it’s not the worst. The big problem is that we have to be faster. And to be faster on this bike you have to be very aggressive and at the moment that’s not my style, that’s not how I ride. Let’s take advantage of this break to understand everything well and find a solution within my riding style so that I can be more aggressive so that the bike works.
