Ducati is the best manufacturer with Aprilia leading the teams championship

Silverstone was the 12th track to host a MotoGP World Championship weekend this year. In addition to the riders’ standings always changing after a Grand Prix, the same happens with the constructors’ and teams’ championships as well.

Regarding the six brands present in the championship, all of them kept their place in the standings. Then, Ducati remains the leader, now holding 271 points and a 91-point lead over Yamaha – which was 74 points before the Silverstone race. Closing the access to the podium is Aprilia with 175 points and another 96 points to the top.

Outside this podium are KTM, Suzuki and Honda in that same order. However, Honda is the only manufacturer that has not yet been able to break the 100-point barrier.

As far as teams are concerned, the situation is slightly different. Aprilia Racing remained at the top of the standings, but the gap of 16 points it held to second place is now just two points. With this British round, the Ducati Lenovo Team moved up to second place while Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP swapped places with the factory Ducati team. In terms of points, Aprilia, Ducati and Yamaha hold 240, 238 and 206 points respectively.

Prima Pramac Racing is the best independent team at this point with 195 points being fourth in the ranking. Rounding out the top five is Red Bull KTM Factory Racing with 179 total points.
