The Ducati rider is not surprised
Ducati driver Pecco Bagnaia finished the first day of free practice on the Aragon circuit in fifth place. The Italian driver didn’t push for performance, but was more focused on clarifying the tire situation.
At the end of the last session on Friday 16 September, the Ducati rider spoke to the media present, not saying he was surprised by the positive return of Marc Marquez: “Everyone can have their point of view. I can agree or not, but I don’t think we’re all junkies here. We are at the highest level that exists and we work our asses every time to be able to be the fastest. We must not be surprised at what Marc has done, because he is not a baker who comes here and competes for the first time”.
The eight-time world champion in fact ended the day with a good eighth place. “He has always been very strong, so it was to be expected that Marc would return like this, because he has always been a point of reference in recent years. So it is right that there is a lot of hype behind this thing, but I lived it as a normal day for him, because I would have expected this “continued Bagnaia.
