‘For me the bike works well in the rain’ – Jack Miller

Francesco Bagnaia considers that this year’s Ducati MotoGP bike has a different balance in the rain that doesn’t allow it to be as competitive. Something that his teammate Jack Miller doesn’t feel the same way – on the contrary, he considers that the bike still performs well in the wet.

In a press conference, the Australian was asked about his opinion on the matter, and in the answer he clarified that he had no problems with the Desmosedici GP22’s performance in the rain:

– For me, the bike still works well in the rain. Whenever there were rainy conditions I managed to be there or close. I fought for the win in Indonesia earlier in the season and lost some pace towards the end of the race, more due to the setup than anything else.

About the Japanese GP, whose Saturday was marked by constant rain, Miller said: ‘At Motegi it was strange in the afternoon, but in the morning I was extremely fast with used tyres. Marc [Márquez] did his lap time at basically the perfect time. When I left, I didn’t stay very far despite the fact that it was raining a little more and there was more aquaplaning. But the bike was running fantastically. The afternoon wasn’t good for me, but it wasn’t a disaster. If I had managed to compose everything, I would have been third. I haven’t had many problems with rain’.
