Yamaha R15 sportbike is now costlier to buy

Yamaha Motor India has announced yet another price hike on its popular YZF-R15 range in the country. This comes out as the second price revision in a matter of a few months after the August price hike. In comparison to the previous price list, the prices have been upped marginally by Rs 1,000. Here’s the fully revised price list of the YZF-R15:

Yamaha R15M: 1,89,900 (ex showroom Delhi)

Yamaha R15M WGP 60th Edition: Rs 1,91,300 (ex-showroom Delhi)

Yamaha R15M MotoGP Edition: Rs 1,91,900 (ex-showroom Delhi)

Albeit the pricing has been upped only marginally, this is the third revision since April 2022. While the company has not announced the reason for the latest price hike, it is most likely due to higher commodity and input costs. Save for the price increment, the rest of the details on the bike remain unchanged.

It continues to source power from the same 155 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine fitted with VVA technology. Some of the key features on the motorcycle include LED illumination, a fully digital display, ABS, traction control, and a quick-shifter as well. In terms of equipment, it uses golden USD front forks and a mono-shock setup and the braking duties are taken care of by a single front and rear disc.
