Jack Miller’s month is going from strength to strength after Phillip Island’s turn four was named after the Ducati Lenovo rider on Saturday.

A win in Japan, second in Thailand, recent wedding and first home Grand Prix in three years was topped off by the ceremony on Saturday lunchtime which saw ‘Honda Hairpin’ retitled ‘Miller Corner’ by circuit and championship officials.

With four MotoGP race wins to his name so far – ten overall in the World Championship after his early jump straight from Moto3 to the premier class – Miller joins the ranks of countrymen Mick Doohan, Wayne Gardner, and Casey Stoner to be immortalized at the Bass Straight circuit.

“It’s an immense honor,” Miller said from the Australian paddock. “The scale of it hasn’t really sunk in yet.

“This is amazing, something that I couldn’t have even dreamed of as a kid, to have a corner on this magical race track in my name, it’s more than words.”

“It’s an unreal part of the track and so many historical moments have happened here, so I feel so fortunate to be able to claim this one.”
