The 2020 world champion Joan Mir in Sepang suffered from compartment syndrome: “I will operate at the end of the season”
Suzuki rider Joan Mir finished nineteenth at the finish line in Sepang after a real ordeal, caused by the compartment syndrome accused in his right arm. “I suffered from the middle of the race, I lost all strength and sensitivity in my arm, I couldn’t brake…”
“It can happen on this circuit, but it had never happened to me before – said the 2020 MotoGP world champion -. I had never had problems with my arm, now I want to see the doctor to prevent it from happening again, I can’t allow me. In winter I think I will work to solve the problem”, are the words reported by Motorsport. “I was about to stop, it can happen that the arm stiffens but never at this level, it has become completely numb.”
