‘In 2023 we will have a more powerful Yamaha M1 but will that be enough for Morbidelli?’ -Lin Jarvis

Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP will have an improved version of the M1 and that should be in line with what has been requested by Fabio Quartararo and company, where the increase in power should be evident and with that thought in mind Lin Jarvis addressed Franco’s Morbidelli problems and left a question in the air.

To SPEEDWEEK.com, the manager of the japanese manufacturer who had previously said that Morbidelli had a ‘mental block’ showed confidence in a paradigm shift in 2023, where the #21 will have a more powerful bike, with the expectation that this can help him to take the missing step forward:

– He doesn’t have enough confidence to ride really aggressively. And all the riders confirm: Yamaha has to be ridden in ‘attack mode’ these days. You have to take speed with you to the entry of the corners. You have to push for it, and that’s what Franky’s been lacking.

Next year and according to what has already been said by Cal Crutchlow and confirmed by Quartararo, Yamaha will have a more powerful bike capable of running greater speed, which could help Morbidelli, believes Jarvis, who still left an important question in the air: ‘ The fact that we will have a bike with more potential will definitely help Franky. But will it be enough? That’s the question…’.
