Jack Miller and Barry Baltus have been penalized for their respective races on Sunday

After all the action on track on Saturday, the FIM MotoGP Stewards Panel – made up of Andres Somolinos, Freddie Spencer and Raffaele De Fabritiis – decided to impose a couple of sanctions.

In MotoGP, Jack Miller was the target of the Stewards’ attention as the Australian adopted a slow pace that endangered the #43, as well as Maverick Viñales. This resulted in a Long Lap Penalty which Miller will have to serve in Sunday’s race. The Stewards also point out that this is the second time this season that Miller has been penalized for this reason.

Already in Moto2, Barry Baltus was penalized for the same reason and in the same manner. According to the official statement, Baltus adopted a slow pace at turn 15, in the middle of Q1, which endangered the safety of Jorge Navarro as well.
