Without satellite team, Lin Jarvis highlights need to improve YZR-M1 for both Yamaha riders

Contrary to what is usual, Yamaha will race in 2023 only with its factory team and will not be able to count on the collaboration of a satellite team after the RNF starts to race with Aprilia motorcycles.

According to Lin Jarvis – Team Principal of the Yamaha MotoGP team – the fact that the japanese manufacturer is not working with a satellite team is something that is important. Even so, the British argues that having only two bikes on track allows Yamaha to give greater prominence and attention to its factory team.

‘We will definitely have two bikes on the grid next year. It’s not the best option… But it’s not all bad either because we have to focus on improving the factory bike for Fabio [Quartararo] and Franco [Morbidelli]. Still, it would be invaluable if we could get data from additional MotoGP riders again soon…’, Jarvis told according to SPEEDWEEK.com.
