Marc Márquez and the ‘all or nothing’ for Honda in MotoGP: ‘We put everything into a bullet’

Honda are looking to put the modest results they have had in recent seasons of MotoGP behind them, working hard in preparation for 2023. Last November’s tests at Valencia did not live up to expectations, which puts the Japanese in a more complicated situation when there are only two more sets of pre-season tests.

Marc Márquez, the longest established rider at the manufacturer, revealed to Europa Press that everything is being put into a version of the RC213V to be introduced at the Sepang tests: ‘We have thrown everything into a bullet because the November test did not work as expected.

The six-times champion was keen to stress the confidence he has in Honda’s work: ‘Honda is reacting, I trust them 100 per cent and I am preparing as I understand I have to do to aspire to win the World Championship. Then, when the new bike is tested, we will see where we are and where our rivals put us. Because sometimes you improve, but the rivals improve more.
