Gallery: The fairing that Yamaha tested at Valencia

After the riders’ title won by Fabio Quartararo in 2021, Yamaha went into this year aiming to repeat the achievement. However, the 2022 M1 was not competitive enough and the riders complained about the engine before the championship started.

Even so, Fabio Quartararo was in the championship lead for quite some time. The manufacturer continued to work on the engine, even hiring a former Ferrari and Toyota engineer with Formula1 experience, Luca Marmorini, and the 2023 engine tested at Misano left the riders smiling.

In Valencia, and already after the end of the championship, the same did not happen on a test day where the Iwata factory also brought innovations in the field of aerodynamics. In a pair of photos shared by Daniel Nicholas – @damn_dra on the social network Instagram – it is possible to get a ‘cleaner’ idea of the possible aerodynamic implementations that Yamaha will put on the 2023 bike.
