The Repsol Honda Team wants to keep the momentum in Montmeló

With the best result of his rookie season so far, Alex Marquez wants to bring the momentum home when Stefan Bradl returns to him in the garage of the Repsol Honda team.

The MotoGP World Championship continues with the third race in as many weeks. The ninth race of the 2020 season will take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the home race of Alex Marquez and the Repsol Honda Team. This 4.6-kilometer route just outside Barcelona has become an integral part of the MotoGP calendar. In 2019, Marc Marquez dominated the weekend aboard the Repsol Honda Team RC213V.

Alex Marquez arrives at home in Misano fresh from his seventh place in the Premier Class. The MotoGP class rookie benefited from a day of testing between the two races in Italy and arrives at home in the best shape of the year. Improving his one-lap pace for qualifying remains Alex’s primary goal now that he’s shown the pace to battle veterans of the MotoGP class for the top ten.

Meanwhile, Stefan Bradl has benefited from a week off after missing the Emilia Romagna GP due to a problem with his right arm. The German will return to the Repsol Honda Team as he continues to replace the recovering Marc Marquez. Bradl has shown a strong pace in the past with two top 5 finishes and an eighth place on his three previous visits to the Barcelona circuit at the LCR Honda.
