Yamaha signed Fabio Quartararo early last year to take Rossi’s place for 2021, with the veteran Italian remaining a factory-backed rider with a move to SRT.
Vinales believes that Yamaha has lacked unity in its ranks for the past three years and believes that there is no longer the division within the garage where “Valentinos Team” and “my team” are the Japanese brand Can be “more complete” than a unit in 2021.
“I think team unity is very important to us because everyone has been walking alone for the past three years,” Vinales said during the Yamaha 2021 launch event.

Quartararo agrees with Vinales’ comments, noting that they showed a similar level of performance throughout the campaign, which should help in the development of the M1.
