KTM’s first MotoGP race winner, Brad Binder, will remain part of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team for the next three years and will celebrate ten Grand Prix seasons in “orange” until the end of the MotoGP 2024 season.

The 25-year-old South African went through the structure of the KTM GP Academy. He started in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, won the Moto3 ™ world title with the Red Bull KTM Ajo team, as well as 15 Grand Prix victories in both Moto3 and Moto2 ™ and then clinched the first factory victory in the premier class during his first term on the KTM RC16 in 2020, where he also achieved the status of “Rookie of the Year”.

Binder set a new milestone at the Gran Premio D’Italia last weekend by reaching the highest top speed in the history of the sport at 362.4 km / h during FP3 in Mugello.

The new contract brings additional continuity and strength to the KTM MotoGP program, and Binder’s fighting spirit symbolizes the way in which the manufacturer embarks on the “Ready to Race” track.

Brad Binder: “I’m super, super happy to have signed with KTM for three more seasons again and it will take up to ten years. It’s incredible to have been with this manufacturer for so long and we’ve always had a good relationship. I’m very happy with the KTM colors, so it’s especially rewarding to have signed a long contract. It’s cool to have that belief and support from a company. It is a honor. From now on we can focus on building ourselves forward. We’re not too far away and it would be really nice to do something great together. It is exciting to see what the next few years will bring. “

Pit Beirer, KTM Motorsport Director: “This was a very easy contract for us because we love Brad as a racer and what he brings to the team, the factory and the MotoGP class. He was also very enthusiastic to be involved with us and that says a lot for our progress and our potential in this championship. Sometimes you find a racing driver and a mentality that really fits your own philosophy and the fact that Brad has come to the very top with us in ten years is a very special story. We are really proud to continue racing with him and to keep setting new goals together. “

Mike Leitner, Red Bull KTM Race Manager: “As a team manager, I am pleased that Brad has placed his trust in us for another three years. He is a very strong driver with a strong crew and a strong factory behind him. We will work together to achieve our common dreams and goals. It’s great that we have this partnership until ’24. “
