Brad Binder made another impressive jump through the field and finished sixth in the British MotoGP.

After starting position 12, the South African lost two more positions before cornering because he was influenced by his inner starting position.
With the inner lattice slots in Silverstone, which were pressed close to the pit wall, a “hairpin” entry line was created for Binder to the corner.
However, the KTM rider put this aside as the race progressed and began to break into the top ten due to the even more breathtaking late race pace.

Binder’s last overtaking maneuver came with three laps to go when he took sixth place ahead of Joan Mir.
After the race, Binder said: “I was able to do a really fast lap in Q2, but otherwise it was difficult for us. We didn’t do it exactly the way we wanted and it wasn’t very easy for us,” to be as consistently fast as some of the other guys.

“But you know, the team worked so hard, we tried so many different things and the best bike I had all weekend was in the race.
“Well, hats off to the guys who did such a great job, yes. I didn’t have a good start in the race. 12th place is right on the pit wall and it makes the first corner almost like a hairpin, so I just landed flooded in turn one.
“I lost a couple of positions, but when the race went on and all the tires fell off I was able to keep my pace steady and came back.
“But yes, unfortunately I lost too much time in the first half of the race. But on a weekend like this, to get away with sixth place, I can’t ask for much more and see how we do in Aragon.”
