“There was a reason Morbidelli didn’t want to ride this Yamaha anymore” – Andrea Dovizioso

Andrea Dovizioso has already said that after a ten-month absence he has not returned to MotoGP to put his name on the grid. He even swears that he wants to be protagonists for the title in 2022. But now that he has arrived at this new Grand Prix on a Yamaha, he discovers that it has no speed.

“I wanted to come back early to prepare for next season, but it’s not comfortable being behind. As I’ve always said, I’m not a rider who just wants to stay in MotoGP to be a number and that’s why I can’t be happy right now. IIt’s hard to explain, it seems like we wanted to apologize, but the reality is this: we came back to do those five races to be more competitive next year and that’s why TThe results don’t count, even if “it makes sense that we want to be ahead”.

“If Morbidelli, who finished second here last year, didn’t want to ride this 2019 version of the M1, there had to be a reason. It takes time to switch from one type of bike to another.
