Jorge Martin was five seconds behind the MotoGP times on the Ducati Panigale V4S in Jerez

During that week, Ducati reserved the Jerez track for the launch of the 2022 Panigale V4 and V4S. For this purpose, Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco visited the respective presentations and took the models out on the track to show what a racing bike can do under controlled conditions.

No official records were set during the time on track, but according to Claudio Domenicali – Ducati CEO – Martin was only five seconds slower than a MotoGP machine.

“What does it take to get to the best MotoGP lap in Jerez within 5 seconds with a production motorcycle that is homologated for the road and that anyone can buy? Confidence and a red bike from Borgo Panigale! ”Said the Italian on his official Twitter account.

If you look at the 1: 37.770s that gave Fabio Quartararo pole position and the 1: 38.512s of Toprak Razgaltioglu in the Superpole on his top-of-the-line R1 competition motorcycle, you can get an idea of what Martin did on the Ducati Panigale V4S (on slicks) did.
