After spending most of his career riding Ducati machines, Mike Jones is back on the Yamaha he started his career on to compete in the 2022 edition of the Australian Superbike Championship.
“I’m excited to announce that Yamaha will have number 46 in their ranks for the next season! Seriously now, I think it’s a good time to switch to Yamaha as they won in 2021 both globally and in Australia where the R1 has proven to be one of the most competitive bikes, ”said Jones, who said the biggest Ducati machines spent part of his career with him:
– After the plans for 2022 have been announced, I would like to thank Troy Bayliss and all the members of Desmosport Ducati for their work. With them I won my second ASBK Superbike title in 2019 and with them I fulfilled my dream of becoming a MotoGP rider twice. Thanks also to the Ducati fans who supported me all over the world. Ducati will always have a special place in my heart as it was with them that I had the best moments of my career.
