As expected, Alvaro Bautista won’t be racing for Honda next season. Here is the official statement:
After two years of intensive work and constructive cooperation, the Honda Racing Corporation will say goodbye to Alvaro Bautista at the end of the current Superbike World Championship season and thank him for his commitment to his project, despite the many difficulties caused by the global Covid-19 pandemic.
“Our collaboration with Alvaro Bautista will come to an end at the end of 2021 – said Shinya Wakabayashi – HRC President – The last two years have been intense, marked by the unexpected and imposing challenges arising from the global pandemic and the significant work that is associated with a young project like ours.
