Fabio Quartararo is at the end of his contract with Monster Energy Yamaha in MotoGP and, being the reigning champion, it is natural that the team wants to renew. However, there is still nothing signed and it is speculated that although the rider wants to stay, he also wants to receive a higher salary – now that he has the status of champion.
In a press conference before the Spain GP, the #20 was asked to comment on the rumours. However, he declined to talk about the matter, which is left to his managers while he is focused on a goal set for this season:
– I’m not going to talk about my future, but I have a clear objective for this year, which is to win or at least fight for the title. But I have nothing to say about my future and at the end of the day I have the people around me who are taking care of it.
