Bologna was draped in red on Thursday night as Ducati Corse celebrated its conquering of 2022 after triple title success in both MotoGP and WorldSBK.

Pecco Bagnaia and Alvaro Bautista headlined the ‘Campioni in Piazza’ event as the Piazza Maggiore filled with fans to commemorate clinching Rider, Constructor and Team trophies across both world championships. Representatives from Ducati Lenovo MotoGP and Aruba.it WorldSBK squads were on hand for interviews on stage while fellow Ducati riders Axel Bassani, Enea Bastianini, Marco Bezzecchi, Chaz Davies, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Luca Marini, Michele Pirro and Michael Ruben Rinaldi were in attendance .

The teams also confirmed, for the first time a joint launch of the 2023 WorldSBK and MotoGP teams will be presented in late January.

Collectors bikes were unveiled to celebrate the auspicious year with two special versions of Panigale V4 created to recreate the winning liveries of Bagnaia’s Desmosedici GP22 and Bautista’s Panigale V4R. Each bike is made unique by having the original signature of the rider on the fuel tank, protected with a layer of transparent varnish. In their production numbers, the two bikes celebrate the year Ducati was founded, 1926, while each series is limited to just 260 units.

The documentary “Nuvola Rossa: Bagnaia & Ducati’s Perfect Comb1nation” has also been released, following Bagnaia in his final rounds of the 2022 MotoGP campaign.
